The French believe taking the time to eat and enjoy the food they love is a recipe for good health. In my Harmonie classes, I offer nutritional knowledge and expertise in the French lifestyle of healthy eating. Unlike traditional programs about nutrition, I created Harmonie from the perspective of a mother, cook and trained psychologist. I believe my personal experience gives me the insight to help parents counteract many obstacles to healthy eating.

Designing Healthy Eating for You and Your Family The French Way

There are two workshops in the Harmonie Program. The first workshop provides basic concepts.The second workshop offers a plan of action to put the concepts into practice. These interactive workshops are fun and hands-on, where you will be able to experiment with the new skills you have learned through training games and exercises.

At the end of both sessions, you will take home weekly assignments, a list of easy to follow tips and strategies, plus a practical plan to restore your family's healthy eating forever. There is also a full day workshop which combines both sessions and includes lunch.

 

 

Workshop 1: Teaching Your Children the Secret of Good Food: 10 Golden Rules

This three hour class encourages families to cook together and offers parents the opportunity to challenge many of the obstacles to healthy eating that their children face.

In this interactive class you will learn how to:

  • Inspire your kids to ask for healthy food
  • Find time to cook and have fun with the family in the kitchen
  • Plan regular meals and be less reliant on convenience foods
  • Get your children to eat a healthy diet
  • Make shopping fun and educational
  • Deal with your children’s eating habits and tastes
  • Turn children into confident chefs and educate their palate
  • Discourage snacking and sodas, limit TV
  • Get your children active
  • Make a meal a “family affair’”

 

 

Workshop 2: Designing Healthy Eating for You and Your Family: The Action Plan

This three hour class is a follow up of the first class. Once we understand the principles of healty eating we need to integrate them harmoniously into our family’s daily life.

In this interactive class you will learn on how to:

  1. Manage time and be more effective in the kitchen
  2. Simplify your pantry, and replenish with a variety of healthy foods
  3. Organize your kitchen and make shopping easy and fun
  4. Stop wasting food, forever
  5. Save money by not relying on convenience foods
  6. Plan fast, healthy and delicious menus, including fat-saving tips
  7. Always have two quick dinners ready to serve
  8. Incorporate ideas and be inspired to cook
  9. Integrate light exercise in you daily life
  10. Slow down, relax and enjoy the entire meal as an event
